More than 50 years ago, computer scientist Dr. Reinhold Thurner presented the first ideas for the automation of the application development using software generators. This led to the generation of one of the most successful tools for the generative development of COBOL and PL/I applications: Delta ADS. We are proud to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Delta ADS this year. To celebrate this anniversary, we’d like to take you on a journey through time and look back at the origins of Delta ADS.
Also Applications, often outlive their original lifespans. Many large, complex, and mission-critical applications that have grown over decades form the core of our customers’ successful business operations.

This release contains new functions, some changes and the generation has been further optimized.

ceCMG Conference - We were there!
The ceCMG Autumn Conference took place between November 11th and 12th, 2025, at BearingPoint location in Frankfurt. CeCMG is the meeting venue for everyone who is driving the future of enterprise IT. Two days filled with exciting insights from research and practice, intensive discussions, and the latest exchange of information – all about the challenges and developments in the enterprise IT environment.
We did not only attend but did highly appreciated presentation: Dr. Daniela Schilling (CEO, Delta Software Technology) used current customer examples to demonstrate the automated migration of database systems: "From IBM IMS/DB to relational? Absolutely secure!"
